SkinID is the world’s first treatment to actually claim to cater to each individual. By this, we mean that they provide hundreds of different formulas meant to be combined into differing combinations for each individual. They claim this will give you what you need by using 12 gel cleansers, 32 anti-acne treatments, and 53 moisturizers.
The reality is that though they have active acne fighting ingredients each, they are all extremely common at best. They are those like tea tree oil, benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid. While some of these like tea tree oil won’t cause side effects, others like benzoyl peroxide will, and you can guess which ingredient they actually use most often.
They don’t often use the appropriate amounts of said ingredients, and there have been multiple complaints from consumers who tried a few different combinations and found each time that it was actually the same set of formulas. There are only a few variations between products, and they seem to fit into a few basic groups. Most of them use the harmful ingredients and nothing else, and even those with sensitive skin have apparently been recommended benzoyl peroxide.
We would not recommend using SkinID. It doesn’t have the ingredients or realistically anything else that you are looking for. It will not give you greater benefits, and you would be better off using something else for varying reasons. SkinID simply isn’t meant for that greater success, and their claimsa bout individualized ingredients and so on is nothing but a ploy.
